Spring is finally here. Soon we will be able to throw off our winter coats and boots and walk unencumbered – liberated from all the snow and cold that this particularly harsh winter has brought; it’s time to celebrate the coming warmth of summer!
Easter also is a celebration – our liberation from sin and death, and the new life we have in Jesus Christ. Easter is the ultimate love story of God’s faithfulness. No matter how dark and oppressive life became for the Israelites, God was with them, cared for them and led them into the Promised Land – and a new life! Just so, Jesus promises us new life. Regardless of our circumstances, Jesus offers us hope, peace and joy to carry on even when everything in our outward world seems to be falling apart. Grab a hold of this promise, and may the blessing and joy of Easter be a vibrant reality of our Lord Jesus’ presence in your life.
